Tally Synchronisation

You can share data between two or more instances of TallyPrime using data synchronization. A client-server environment is used for this. Data synchronization can be initiated from client to server or from server to client, depending on your user-defined settings.

Data synchronization ensures consistent and updated data between different locations in the business, allowing financial information, stock and other important data to be easily shared and managed.

A robust system that synchronizes master data, eliminating the need for complex processes. This not only provides high reliability, but also allows new types of control structures (For example, allowing a central system to ‘create and modify master data’ while local systems can only record transactions).

The concept of propagating the ‘Delete’ action appropriately to keep both the source and destination consistent, so that manual intervention is not required.

Security in Data Synchronisation

The synchronization process is secure between the main office (server) and branches (clients) as the data is transmitted in encrypted format. It uses an algorithm (Modified DES) which is proprietary and can only be understood by Tally.ERP 9

Data synchronization in Tally.ERP 9 is not web based, this synchronization happens using HTTP protocol between the server and the client. Data is exchanged over HTTP using encrypted XML.During the process of synchronization through Tally.NET server, no data or information is stored anywhere in the Tally.NET server. Therefore, the synchronization process is completely secure.
